Overview
Deutsche Bank is growing its Over The Counter (OTC) Clearing business in the region and investing in technology, operations, and business infrastructure to facilitate this great opportunity to develop and build a regional presence in US from the ground up. You will play an important role in supporting OTC Rates/Credit Clearing & Rates Prime Brokerage business. As a Level 3 Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for IT infrastructure and application maintenance. You will help ensure optimal application performance by tracking issues, root cause analysis and remediation, ensure technology roadmap compliance, and develop new/incremental functionality for Clearing platforms underpinning the Business, both driven through Advanced Data Collection (ADC)/ Change the Bank (CTB) book of work. You will be part of a distributed team and closely work with product owners, functional and business specialists to continually enhance the applications within the platform as client, the market and regulatory forces adapt and evolve.

• Level 3 production support and full life cycle of development tasks, starting from specification and design to successful implementation
• Application Support (30%): Level-3 technical support - problem and root cause analysis, support the implementation team and solve post go-live issues, work with design/architecture teams to ensure best practices are adopted to ensure stability and supportability of applications and infrastructure, and identify issues and risks, seek mitigation approaches and drive resolution
• Application Development & Compliance (50%): ADC Essential Maintenance - changes to maintain service of existing application, IT Security Remediation/ Vulnerabilities fixes, Tech Roadmap Compliance, mandatory upgrades / patch release compliance, and Advisory effort (non-development/enhancement) to support Audit / SII
• Business Support/ Platform Stabilization Dev (20%): Critical bug fixes, develop CTB fixes for L3 escalations / performance issues, and working with BAs on requirements, technical analysis, and design Skills You'll Need
• Experience in IT infrastructure, application, and product support in an Investment Banking and/or Retail Finance environment
• Extensive experience in complex infrastructure and enterprise software platform development
• Excellent root cause analysis and remediation skills with understanding of networking and messaging
• Good communication, both written and verbal
• Attention to detail, ability to work with deadlines. Ability to take direction as needed as well as being able to work independently and proactive, delivery orientated approach. Strong problem solving and analysis skills (an Engineering mind-set) Skills That Will Help You Excel
• UNIX Administration (RedHat)/ UNIX Shell Script/Infra Management/ Configurations, Oracle, Oracle PL/ SQL, SQL Developer, Toad
• HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS
• ITIL, ITSM knowledge (cover change, incident, problem management)
• Monitoring Tools: Geneos, Splunk
• GIT version Control, VSCode and IntelliJ IDE experience with demonstrable experience and knowledge in OTC (Credit and Rates) Derivative products (+ Other Derivatives Products - Listed, FX advantageous) Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $120,750. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
